10 Awesome List: Dungeons and Dragons

image

If you have never played pen-and-paper Dungeons and Dragons, click here while the rest of us read the post. I caught this list of 10 awesome things about Dungeons and Dragons on the blogoblogosphereoblog:

1. Rolling a Natural Twenty when the fight is on the line
2. Leveling up
3. 0 hit points, unconscious, possibly dead
4. The 10' pole
5. The druid spell Shillelagh
6. Being a 1st level Halfling mage with 1 hit point and a dart
7. Drinking ale in the tavern
8. The planar asymmetric synergy of polyhedrons and lead figures
9. Scimitars
10. Treasure Type Q, the best Treasure Type

Which is an impressive list, to be sure. However, mine would have to be something like this:

1. Vorpal Weapons
2. Chaotic Alignments
3. First Edition Monster Manual, giggity
4. Green Dragons + Sodium-tipped arrows
5. The Keep on the Borderlands
6. Expedition to the Barrier Peaks
7. 18/00 STR
8. Hitting Level 9 as a Fighter, becoming a Lord and getting a Keep
9. Being C/E and taking the Borderlands Keep as your own
10. Fireballs

What's your list?

Haha, thank you for reminding me of that. That movie was horrible. It's campy and could have been written by Jack Chick. Here's a pretty good review site.
