 I can't wait for the SPECIAL REPORT where we expect AT LEAST 50,000 BANNED ACCOUNTS IN THE METRO AREA ALONE. This article on gold farming is one of the worst written pieces of crap I've seen in a while. Let's point and laugh at FOX News:
Gold farmers tend to concentrate on violent games, where they become wealthy by defeating enemies and harvesting the spoils of victory.
GAMES KILL CHILDREN. Oops sorry, couldn't be a FOX News article about games without mentioning violent ones. What's that? You're actually only sticking a 7-foot sword into a giant chicken to get gold? How is this going to convey the imminent danger to our children and giant chickens everywhere? Moving on:
Paul Younger, co-editor of worldofwar.net, a "World of Warcraft" fan site, said: "It's getting ridiculous. They have started mugging other characters and stripping them of valuables. It's meant to be a game, but when there's money involved, people will do anything."
I'm going to go out on a limb here, and say that if they are talking to a person who is working on a WoW site, then his statements will be in the context of the game WoW. Too bad there is no way to "mug" another character and "strip them of valuables". If there were, WoW would be the best thing since Ultima Online smothered in awesomesauce, and I would be peeing in a bottle right now, because I would never logout.
If you value what brain cells you have left after reading that article, don't click the link to their videogame center.
The only thing that could top this is if Nancy Grace discovered there was a missing woman in The Barrens. "WHERE IS MANKIRK'S WIFE? WHY HASN'T MANKIRK BEEN TAKEN INTO CUSTODY? HE NEEDS TO BE QUESTIONED ABOUT HIS INVOLVEMENT. I THINK THAT HE IS DEFINITELY A PERSON OF INTEREST IN THIS CASE."
