Prototype Rock Band drum kit at CES, and I want it
I've just seen something that made me turn into that kid that watches every toy commercial on TV and shouts, "I WANT THAT!". It's a drum kit prototype for Rock Band from a company called Ion Audio. I spotted it over at Engadget:
The fine folks at Ion Audio are showing off a prototype Rock Band drum set complete with beefier drums and some cymbals out on the CES show floor. Apparently release is pending on customer interest, and there's no word on how much Ion's planning on charging
I think customer interest is pretty F'n high on this side of my desk. Check it out:

The Spanish Engadget site has a photo gallery of the prototype. To see a video of the drums being played, hit the jump.
Chris from Gamescore Blog got to play the set for a bit:
He has this to say:
So I tried out these drums, and they are amazing. They are VERY quiet, and they feel like real drums. I had difficulty adjusting to the placement of the cymbals. The cymbals are mirrors of the drums - meaning there is a green tom, and a green cymbal - you can hit either one.
I'd really love to see this guy playing it:
