Rock Band is available as you read this. Available in theory. I currently don't have it, because someone forgot to place the Rock Band boxes on the truck that was supposed to deliver them to my local Best Buy. I got to put my name down and when they actually arrive later this afternoon, I'll get a phone call and a $25 gift card for my inconvenience. You hear that, GameStop? That's how you treat customers.
Of course, being the 38-yr-old man-child that I am, I didn't want to wait until this afternoon, so my friend and I traveled to Target. As we were walking in, a guy was coming out holding a Rock Band box and my friend quipped, "There goes the last one!". I had to remind him that was not even close to being funny. We went to the game area and sure enough, there went the last one. "Oh well", I said in my Eeyore voice. While I'm waiting, I'll just have to dream about rocking out. One of my dreams is to one day be able to play "Eugene's Trick Bag" by Steve Vai. It was featured in the movie "Crossroads" at the very end. What I didn't now is that an alternate version was filmed but never used in the movie. Here is that scene:
That was a joke, haha, fat chance. Real version after the jump.
The movie version was sped up around 15%, so don't kill your fingers trying to match it.
