Report: Gamasutra Jumping To Conclusions About Perpetual Entertainment
Porn King. Really.
Porn King. Really.

Gamasutra is reporting that Perpetual Entertainment is liquidating their assets. Which was the case last month when Gods and Heroes was shutdown. Gravity just decided to file the SEC report recently so I can understand where it looks like Perpetual is currently being sold off. If it weren't for the fact that Perpetual was already sold off to new company called Perpetual Entertainment.

However, it is unclear whether this announcement also affects Star Trek Online, Perpetual's other MMO, which was still believed to be in development - or whether the company's physical offices in San Francisco will continue to operate in the longer-term.

It doesn't and they will. See? That was easy!

Basically, Gravity sold Perpetual back to Perpetual. Move along, nothing to see here. This kind of stuff happens all the time. Just last week, on Thanksgiving, I sold my soul back to myself because I am the Devil. No, really. Pleased to meet you. To quote Viggo Mortensen in a role before he became Strider:

Your war is arrogance. That makes it evil. And that's mine.

He was playing Lucifer. Jumping to conclusions about game companies? That's mine. Hope you guess my name.

[UPDATE: Gamasutra forgot that the deal between SOE and Perpetual was for Gods and Heroes only and that's why SOE PR cannot offer input into those claims. Really, there's no story here. I'm reporting about the reporting, that's how much of a non-story this is.]
