One of the constant things I came to think would never change is the fact that Sean Dahlberg worked on Shadowbane. Welp, the more things stay the same, the more things change:
As announced, today ends a chapter in the life of "Ashen Temper". For me, it's been quite a saga and I have met some fantastic people. Some I've been working with for over four years, Meridian for about seven years. In fact, Shadowbane itself has been a part of my life for over eight years; dating back to when I learned about the game and ran the unofficial forums on Stratics and later worked on the Shadowbane Vault before becoming a member of Wolfpack Studios, Inc.
This has been a really hard decision for me to make but recently a new opportunity presented itself to me. It wasn't easy to think of moving; this is the best group of people I've had the pleasure to work with in and out of the game industry. I'm a true believer in the ideas and concepts behind Stray Bullet Games' "future fantasy" project. And yet this is one of those rare opportunities that will bring me to a new level within my career.
As for Shadowbane and the "future fantasy" project; I'm leaving the design, direction, and community in very capable hands. Shadowbane I can now play like a normal player and I can't wait for the "future fantasy" project to get to a stage where we are all playing it. I just wonder who I'll have to bribe to get into Beta...
I'm willing to bet that he is headed to Bioware to work on Knights of the Old Republic Online.
